On 16th October 2003, the Korean Women's Association moved into a new $1.3 million, 10,000-square-foot Community Service Center and also broke ground on a $1.2 million 19 bed Domestic Violence Emergency Shelter that was completed in December 2004 for Asian women who are victims of domestic violence.

It was an exciting day for the Korean Women's Association. Building a 10,000 square foot facility which will facilitate social services/programs to assist the poor, the low-income, non-English speaking immigrants, refugees, youth, elderly, families, disabled, homeless, and disadvantaged was a milestone for KWA and also a true accomplishment. The new facility gives KWA the room it has needed for years to better serve those in our community.

The dedicated leadership, staff, members, and supporters of the Korean Women's Association partnered with Pierce County, state and federal grants made this dream a reality for those in need to utilize.

KWA does not discriminate against anyone because of color, race, religion, sex, natural origin, handicap or veteran status.
